We recently purchased a D70s and are still learning how to use it to photograph our 8 week old daughter. I see your beautiful shots are not using the flash. Are you using the "A" setting on the dial a lot? Any tips?
All your photographs are quite lovely. Stephen Wallace @ 2006-11-09 15:08:32
Hi Stephan,
I either use "A" or "M", but "M" most often. Harper doesn't like the Flash much so I don't use it often. Getting good light behind you helps a lot. In this particular shot, Harper was facing a window around 2pm in the afternoon and it was sunny out. The white curtains help diffuse the light so it's not as harsh on your subject. Also, the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens is great for these types of shots. You can pick it up for $99 in most places. Ryan @ 2006-11-10 21:12:45
